Location: Head Office (Nr. ref: KEP 009/2021)
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with other accounting, reporting, provisioning and IT officers within organization;
- Utilize math skills to analyze key financial data;
- Support activities for reconciliations and preparation of periodic financial statements, support performance measurement, and regulatory compliance;
- Utilize technical skills to support reporting to stakeholders and compliance with authorities;
- Support budgeting process and implementation of budget controls;
- Utilize technical skills to run (operate) independently statistical model for measurement classification, measurement and impairment of loan portfolio;
- Participate in cross-functional team, assisting with data processing, process improvement initiatives and automatization of reporting;
- Extract, manipulate and organize data in response to management requests;
- Utilize technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding
Applicants must have the following qualifications and skills:
- Master’s degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, accounting, finance, business or related fields preferred
- Critical math skills and a proven ability to difficult calculations
- Strong familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior experience using database tools and spreadsheet software such as MySQL preferred
- Experience using data visualization tools
- Ability to quickly learn microfinance related regulations
- Comfort preparing and delivering reports to decision makers
- Strong critical thinking skills
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) title is considered an advantage
